We all know the importance of flexing, strengthening and bending our bodies to improve muscle tone but there are unseen muscles that most of us forget to work out… our pelvic floor! 


The 3 main functions of the pelvic floor are:

🧡 flex and contraction of the pelvic floor assists in function of bowel

🧡 assists with blood flow and contractions in the vagina during sex. In fact, both the strength and duration of your orgasm can be increased by strengthening your pelvic floor!


Just like the rest of our muscles, it’s important to keep optimal fitness of our pelvic floor to prevent prolapse and degeneration of muscle tone. It is advised to contract and release your pelvic floor for a minimum of 5-10 minutes a day or use pelvic floor weights to strengthen your pelvic muscles.
